Introduction

Kim is a shareholder in Fredrikson & Byron’s Corporate, Securities, and Nonprofit Groups. She advises private and public companies and partnerships, nonprofit organizations and cooperatives on general corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions, SEC and IRS compliance, joint ventures, complex reorganizations, and corporate governance. Kim works with entrepreneurs, multi-generation families, executive management, shareholders, and investors on transactions involving all aspects of the business life cycle including formation, capital raising, joint ventures, reorganizations, and exits.  

Kim also works with charities, foundations, churches, educational organizations and trade associations in all aspects of the nonprofit business life cycle including entity selection, formation, obtaining and maintaining tax-exemption, bank and bond financing, joint ventures, reorganizations, mergers and dissolutions.
