Nicole Moen is a shareholder at Fredrikson & Byron. She practices in the firm’s Litigation Group and focuses on health law, antitrust, and multidistrict litigation and class action defense. Nicole represents individuals and businesses in commercial, regulatory, and white collar criminal matters.

Representative Experience

  • Antitrust: Represented businesses in private civil antitrust litigation. Defended businesses in State and Federal civil and criminal antitrust matters. 
  • Health Litigation: Represented physicians, clinics, and hospitals in the full range of matters facing health law clients, including State and Federal government investigations, Medicare and Medicaid compliance issues, False Claims Act allegations, and licensing and credentialing matters. Nicole has also represented health law clients in business litigation, including contract, employment, and shareholder disputes.
  • Multidistrict Litigation and Class Action Defense: Defended businesses in multidistrict litigation and class action cases. 
  • White Collar and Regulatory Defense: Represented individuals and businesses in State and Federal matters involving alleged antitrust violations, fraud, bid rigging and conspiracy, and securities and consumer fraud.
  • Business Litigation: Assisted businesses in many areas in contract disputes, shareholder disputes, and employment disputes.
  • Constitutional Law: Nicole has represented individuals and nonprofit institutions in matters involving Constitutional law, including First Amendment and election issues. She was lead counsel in the firm’s representation of a Guantànamo detainee in habeas litigation, which resulted in the detainee’s repatriation to his home country.
  • Pro Bono: Nicole is a volunteer attorney with the Volunteer Lawyers Network and assists low-income individuals in many other areas, including consumer debt, family law, and the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. Nicole is also a member of the firm’s pro bono committee.
