John Koneck Inducted into the American College of Mortgage Attorneys


Minneapolis, MN July 31, 2009 – – Fredrikson & Byron President and lawyer, John Koneck, has been accepted as a Fellow in the American College of Mortgage Attorneys. Membership in the College is by invitation only. The American College of Mortgage Attorneys was formed in 1974. College Fellows are an integrated group of lawyers from each state who are highly skilled and experienced in the preparation of real estate mortgages, lending transactions secured by real estate, and related practice. The College seeks to improve and reform laws and procedures affecting real estate secured transactions and to raise the level of professional responsibility of lawyers practicing in this area.

Koneck is President of Fredrikson & Byron, a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and its Board of Directors, and a shareholder in Fredrikson & Byron’s Real Estate Group. He brings almost 30 years of experience assisting clients with all types of real estate transactions including commercial and industrial sales and acquisitions, brokerage agreements, commercial lease negotiations, tax and business planning, and construction and permanent real estate financing. Koneck also has substantial experience in bankruptcy, debtor/creditor law, and real estate-related litigation.
