Fredrikson & Byron Opens Fargo Office


Minneapolis, MN March 4, 2010 – – Fredrikson & Byron, P.A. has continued its growth in the upper Midwest by opening an office in Fargo, North Dakota, effective March 3, 2010. Three attorneys have joined the firm as officers: Kristy L. Albrecht, Jon E. Strinden, and Todd E. Zimmerman. The team brings an established local and regional reputation and a full-service offering to business clients in North Dakota and the upper Midwest. The officers are joined by two associate attorneys: Benjamin J. Hasbrouck and Nola A. McNeally.

These newest Fredrikson attorneys will combine their expertise with that of firm attorneys in Bismarck, Minneapolis, and other Firm offices to support clients across a variety of industries, particularly financial services, energy, healthcare, technology, and agribusiness.

The Fargo office provides Fredrikson’s Midwest clients with immediate access to important business connections and legal services. “North Dakota’s economy is one of the strongest in our country. OFFICERS:

Kristy L. Albrecht is an officer and member of the Fargo employment and labor, litigation, and appellate groups. She represents employers in a wide variety of employment-related disputes, including actions involving claims of discrimination, harassment, and/or retaliation, and also advises on employment law issues. She defends against employee benefits claims under ERISA, and represent clients in connection with non-compete covenants, confidentiality agreements, and common-law duties of loyalty. Albrecht also represents clients in suits regarding business and commercial contracts, allegations of civil fraud, and civil rights matters.

Jon E. Strinden is an officer and member of the corporate, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, and business and tax practice groups. His focus is working with closely held businesses and providing general legal and business services with a concentration on mergers and acquisitions and capital issues.

Todd E. Zimmerman is an officer and member of the litigation, real estate, and bank and finance groups. Zimmerman handles a wide range of commercial litigation matters and related business transactions. He has a particular focus on matters for his financial services clients, including loan restructurings and workouts, litigation, and privacy issues. His practice also includes contract litigation, corporate governance and shareholder disputes, securities litigation and broker/dealer claims, real estate litigation, and other business disputes. Zimmerman has also handled several products liability matters and accounting malpractice claims.

Benjamin J. Hasbrouck is an associate in the litigation group. He has experience handling a wide range of commercial cases involving contracts, business torts, bankruptcy, and shareholder and partnership disputes, as well as cases involving securities law, professional malpractice, personal injury, and wrongful death. Ben has also represented business clients before state licensing and regulatory agencies, including in securities investigation and enforcement matters.

Nola McNeally is an associate in corporate group, with a concentration in privately held companies, venture capital work, mergers and acquisitions and advising businesses on general corporate matters, Blue Sky securities law issues and real estate.
