"Fredrikson & Byron Elects New Shareholders"
Minneapolis, MN September 24, 2001 - - Fredrikson & Byron elected six new shareholders: Matt Boos (Litigation Group), Laura Danielson (Immigration Group), K. Lisa Holter (Corporate and Health Law groups), Christopher Hunt (Estate Planning Group), Sean Kearney (Tax & Business Planning Group), and Steven Quam (Litigation Group).
Matthew T. Boos works in the areas of securities and commercial litigation. He also advises closely held businesses on a variety of corporate and commercial matters. Boos received his J.D. magna cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law and received his B.A. degree summa cum laude from the University of Minnesota.
Laura J. Danielson is Chair of the firm's Immigration Group. Her practice primarily involves representing clients in immigration matters with special emphasis on arts and business-related immigration. Danielson represents foreign artists, entertainers, athletes, engineers, scientists, medical personnel, and other professionals in nonimmigrant and immigrant visa matters. She received her J.D. cum laude from the University of Minnesota, where she currently teaches immigration law, and completed her undergraduate work at Carleton College.
K. Lisa Holter's practice involves strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, private debt and equity financings, and business formations. She advises businesses, many of them in the health care and medical devices industries, on a broad range of business and legal issues. Holter received her J.D. summa cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law, her M.B.A from the University of Minnesota and her B.S. degree cum laude from Georgetown University.
Christopher B. Hunt focuses his practice on estate planning, business succession planning, probate and related areas of real estate and property law. He received his J.D. from Valparaiso University and received his B.A. degree cum laude from Concordia College.
Sean P. Kearney's practice focuses primarily on working with privately held businesses on their formation, operation, growth, acquisition, sale and succession. He graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School and completed his undergraduate work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Steven J. Quam's practice involves a wide range of commercial matters with experience litigating in state, federal and administrative forums. Eminent Domain is also a focus area of his practice. Quam received his J.D. cum laude from the University of Minnesota and received his B.A. degree magna cum laude from Saint John's University.
