We actively work with clients to anticipate the impact of health reform legislation and to prepare for its effects on the health care industry.”

The group's experience encompasses tax and business planning, provider networks, joint ventures, third-party reimbursement, (including Medicare and Medicaid), health care contracting, and management of relationships among providers and between providers and patients. The group actively works with clients to anticipate the impact of health reform legislation and to prepare for its effects on the health care industry. Our health litigation team has extensive experience resolving and litigating both civil and criminal disputes in the health care arena.

To assist clients who are confronted with any health-related investigation, we created Health Care Fraud & Compliance Group. We help clients work with health care regulators and state and federal investigative agencies. We help clients respond to a wide range of investigations involving the FBI, the Office of Inspector General, the Department of Health, the Department of Human Services, Board of Medical Practice and other licensing boards, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Federal Trade Commission, Federal Drug Administration, and other governmental agencies.

The firm has long been active in the representation of health care clients and historically has represented large numbers of physicians and group practices. We serve physician groups, professional corporations and health care providers throughout Minnesota and the Upper Midwest. We also represent urban and rural hospitals, numerous medical device companies, and many other health care organizations, including diagnostic imaging centers, medical joint ventures, independent clinical laboratories, pharmacies, and health maintenance organizations.
