Introduction

Christy is a senior associate in Fredrikson & Byron’s Corporate and Energy Practice Groups. Christy’s practice focuses on regulatory, renewable energy and wind development matters. She regularly advises utilities and independent power producers on siting, routing, rate and other regulatory matters before the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission. Christy also advises developers on the acquisition, development, financing, and permitting of wind energy and biomass projects. 

Prior to joining the firm, Christy worked in the Energy Division at the Minnesota Department of Commerce as Special Assistant to the Deputy Commissioner. In this role, Christy oversaw regulation of the energy Conservation Improvement Program (CIP), and Minnesota’s demand side management (DSM) program.
