Introduction

Tim is a staff attorney in Fredrikson & Byron’s Oil and Gas and Real Estate Groups. His practice focuses on mineral title examination and the preparation of drilling and division order title opinions. Tim works closely with our Bismarck, North Dakota office.

Prior to joining Fredrikson & Byron, Tim practiced as an associate attorney in the real estate transactions group of a local law firm where he regularly represented real estate lenders and private and publicly held businesses with all aspects of commercial real estate financing, sales and acquisitions, and leasing activities.

Representative Experience

  • Negotiated and drafted loan documents and conducted due diligence activities (including title and survey analysis) for institutional and conduit lenders in connection with their national commercial real estate mortgage financing activities.
  • Represented private and publicly held businesses with acquisition and sale of commercial, industrial, and manufacturing facilities nationwide.
  • Represented landlords and tenants with the negotiation of retail, industrial, and office/warehouse space leases nationwide.
  • Conducted title and survey analysis in connection with the acquisition of a 101,206 sq. ft. 7 story office building in Edina, Minnesota. Negotiated and drafted office leases for client. Negotiated and drafted purchase and sale agreement and transfer documents in subsequent sale of the office building.
