Introduction
Kara is a shareholder in Fredrikson & Byron’s Intellectual Property Group. She practices in the areas of foreign and domestic patent preparation and prosecution, patent litigation, patent opinions, trademark preparation and prosecution, due diligence, intellectual property licensing and acquisitions, and client counseling and portfolio management. Her practice relates to a broad range of technical fields and her extensive knowledge of biological, chemical, mechanical, and other scientific principles is a valuable resource in her work.
Kara graduated from the University of Nebraska School of Law in 2001. She is a native Nebraskan as well as an avid Cornhuskers football fan. Kara’s family has extensive roots in the agriculture industry. Her great-grandfather, grandfather, and father all had successful careers in the beef cattle industry. Kara’s father currently works for a cattle feeding corporation in Omaha. Because of Kara’s strong roots and understanding in agriculture, she enjoys working with clients in this industry.
