Introduction

Beau is a shareholder practicing in Fredrikson & Byron’s Bank & Finance, Corporate and Privacy Groups. Beau focuses on advising banks and other financial institutions on regulatory matters. His corporate practice also covers a range of areas including entity organization, acquisitions, sales, and mergers, primarily in the banking context. Beau has extensive knowledge regarding a number of financial regulatory areas including those related to check fraud, credit card acceptance, financial services licensing, information security breach notification, insider lending, legal lending limits, privacy notices, private placements, regulatory subpoenas, unclaimed property (escheat), usury, the Bank Holding Company Act, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Check Clearing for the 21st Century Act (“Check 21”), the Electronic Funds Transfer Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, as amended by the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (“FACTA”), the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (“RESPA”) and the USA PATRIOT Act.
