Introduction

Loan Huynh is a shareholder in the Immigration Group at Fredrikson & Byron. Loan practices exclusively in immigration and nationality law. She has extensive experience in employment and family based immigration, worksite enforcement and corporate compliance (I-9, E-verify, and ICE/DOL audits), and H2A agricultural and H2B nonagricultural workers. She has a particular focus representing clients in agribusiness, biotechnology, energy, healthcare, software, and other high-tech sectors, education, research, financial services, and manufacturing.

Representative Experience

  • Advises and represents employers and foreign nationals regarding immigration documentation necessary for temporary and permanent employment eligibility in the United States. Industry experience includes medical device, arts & entertainment, manufacturing, education, high technology, agriculture, chemical, healthcare, industrial, e-business, and construction.
  • Counsels employers on I-9 audits and compliance, employer sanctions, E-Verify, and in ICE/DOL investigations.
  • Advises and strategizes with multi-national companies on global immigration options for international workforce.
  • Works with school districts to develop strategies for using immigration to overcome general teacher shortages, as well as shortages in specific subject areas, such as math or the sciences. Advises school districts on their roles and responsibilities regarding student visas.
