Introduction

Ryan is a shareholder of Fredrikson & Byron and a member of the firm’s Life Sciences, Health Care, and Corporate Groups. He has extensive experience representing individuals and businesses in a wide variety of transactions. Representative experience includes the following:

  • structuring and negotiating acquisitions, financings, equity offerings, joint ventures, strategic alliances, technology development and intellectual property licensing arrangements;
  • advising clients on a wide variety of regulatory and compliance matters (FDA rules, state and federal privacy and security laws, fraud and abuse prohibitions, etc.);
  • representing foreign companies in connection with the marketing and sale of medical device and health care products in the United States;
  • advising inventors in connection with the development and commercialization of intellectual property; and
  • representing boards of directors and independent committees on various corporate governance matters, including fiduciary duties and conflict-of-interest policies.
