Introduction
Jennifer is a shareholder in Fredrikson and Byron’s Litigation, Property Tax Appeals, and Franchise Groups.
As a commercial litigator, Jennifer has experience supporting both large and small corporate clients in disputes involving non-competition and non-solicitation agreements, commercial contract disputes, garnishment issues, and shareholder disputes within closely-held corporations and family businesses.
In the Property Tax Group, Jennifer represents owners and lessees of office building, retail, warehouse, restaurant, and hotel properties using valuation, negotiation, and general litigation skills to achieve state property tax savings for the department’s clients.
Jennifer also has experience working with the Franchise Group in situations heading towards litigation. Jennifer assists clients in policing breaches and defaults under franchise agreements and also shepherds clients through litigation on matters involving non-competes, non-solicitation, employment contract disputes and consumer complaints against franchisors.
Jennifer has a wide range of litigation experience, including several years of plaintiffs’ employment work. Jennifer’s prior experience evaluating and pursuing employment discrimination and other related claims gives her a unique perspective and approach to evaluating, defending against and resolving plaintiffs’ claims.
Jennifer has tried cases before Minnesota judges and juries in federal and state courts. Jennifer’s state and federal court experience are well-suited for providing efficient and cost-effective local counsel on cases venued in Minnesota courts.
