Introduction

Sjur (pronounced “sure”) is an officer practicing in the firm’s Bank & Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity groups. He represents a wide range of clients in financing transactions and mergers and acquisitions, including private equity firms, agents, borrowers, lenders and opportunity funds. Sjur’s finance experience includes leveraged financing, real estate financings, mezzanine lending, warehouse lines, subscription facilities, loan restructuring, workouts, whole loan trading, pool transactions and syndicated debt transactions. His mergers and acquisitions experience includes financial institutions, holding companies, and private companies. 

In addition to his legal experience, Sjur’s experience includes working for Piper Jaffray, where he worked on debt and equity capital markets transactions. He also worked for Carval Investors, LLC, where he originated, managed and worked out credit facilities financing the funds’ whole loan portfolios and commercial real estate.
