Introduction

Mollie is a shareholder in Fredrikson & Byron’s Litigation, Oil & Gas, Transmission, Renewable Energy and Condemnation & Eminent Domain Groups. Mollie began her career in Fredrikson & Byron’s Minneapolis Office in 2004, but made the transition to the Bismarck Office early in 2009. Mollie assists clients with oil and gas litigation matters; wind farm, transmission line and pipeline permitting matters; and condemnation/eminent domain matters. 

Mollie represents large and small oil and gas exploration companies in a wide variety of oil and gas litigation matters in North Dakota state and federal courts, including complex real property and contract disputes. Mollie also assists clients with cases before the North Dakota Industrial Commission.

Mollie’s permitting experience includes representing clients in local and state administrative law permit proceedings in North Dakota and Minnesota, including certificate of site compatibility, certificate of corridor compatibility, route permit and certificate of public convenience and necessity proceedings before the North Dakota Public Service Commission. Mollie also assists clients with permit due diligence reviews in connection with the sale or acquisition of wind projects, and advises clients regarding a variety of permitting-related matters.

With respect to condemnation/eminent domain, Mollie’s experience includes assisting clients with large and small condemnation/eminent domain matters for electric transmission facilities, crude oil pipelines and natural gas pipelines in North Dakota and Minnesota.

Mollie has also first-chaired trials in a child custody matter and a contract dispute for pro bono clients.
