Introduction
Leia is a Government Relations Specialist in Fredrikson & Byron’s Government Relations Group. She serves as a liaison between the client and the Minnesota Legislature, the Governor’s office, state agencies, and other federal and local governmental officials. Leia also advises clients on government relations strategies and determines with the client the best approach to further the client’s goals while developing and maintaining positive working relationships with all parties. She monitors both administrative and legislative activities on behalf of clients, and coordinates special legislative events, such as the Day at the Capitol. She also provides lobbyist support on housing, health and human services, commerce and labor, energy, and taxes.
Leia has worked with Fredrikson & Byron for more than five years and has past experience with recruiting and hiring, training, community relations, organizational development, and mentor programs activities. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in public policy and leadership, and communications.
