Introduction
Patricia is a senior paralegal practicing in the area of Compensation Planning & Employee Benefits. She has been with Fredrikson & Byron since 1979 and has worked as a paralegal since 1981. Patricia assists with matters pertaining to the establishment, maintenance, and termination of qualified retirement plans. Her responsibilities include:
- Drafting of defined contribution plan documents, amendments, and Board resolutions.
- Completion of IRS Forms 5300, 5307, 5310, and accompanying demonstrations. Maintains database for cyclical amendment periods for individually designed and pre-approved qualified plans.
- Drafts participant communications such as summary plan descriptions, summary of material modifications, 401(k) booklets and salary deferral agreements, safe harbor notices, and distribution forms.
- Assists clients and accountants with plan administration questions.
Patricia also has experience in preparing annual tax returns for qualified retirement and welfare benefit plans.
