If I am hired, when would my benefits become effective?
The first of the month following your date of hire.
What welfare benefit plans do you offer?
We offer medical and dental to all Associates, their spouses, eligible
dependents and domestic partner couples of the same sex. We also offer
group term life insurance, voluntary supplemental life insurance, short-term
disability and long-term disability coverage to all Associates. Associates
may also elect to participate in a cafeteria plan providing tax-free
payment of medical and dental premiums, and tax-free reimbursement of
eligible medical, dental and vision care expenses as well as dependent
care expenses.
What type of health plan do you offer?
We offer an open-access health plan which provides participants with
two levels of benefits - participating and nonparticipating. Approximately
95% of the medical providers in the State of Minnesota are in this participating
provider network. You do not select a specific clinic, nor do you need
referrals to see specialists. See brief summary of the two levels of

Do you offer benefits for Domestic Partners?
We offer medical and dental benefits to eligible domestic partner couples of the same sex.
Does your health plan contain a pre-existing condition clause?
No.
Does your disability plan include maternity leave?
Fredrikson & Byron offers a Short Term Disability plan to all
Associates.
Do you offer paternity leave?
Yes, we do offer paternity leave.

Yes, Fredrikson & Byron offers two IRS qualified retirement plans:
1) a profit sharing plan with a 401(k) feature (Profit Sharing Plan)
and 2) a money purchase pension plan (Pension Plan).
