Joseph M. Sokolowski and Pamela Abbate-Dattilo of Fredrikson & Byron, P.A. |
Wage and hour laws are some of the most complex and challenging laws employers are required to know and follow. And failing to comply can result in staggering penalties. A panel of experienced wage and hour attorneys will discuss how to comply with the ever-evolving federal and state wage and hour laws. The discussion will include practice strategies for properly classifying employees, administering overtime, breaks, and comp time, telecommuting, independent contractors, continuous work day issues, class action waivers, off the clock work, de minimus activities, and much more. Our speakers will provide practical strategies for employers to prevent and defend a Department of Labor audit and private litigation.
