Fredrikson & Byron Announces New Board Members

Minneapolis, MN September 23, 2005 – Fredrikson & Byron has elected Clint Cutler and Neil Weikart to serve on its board of directors. Cutler is a shareholder and chair of Fredrikson & Byron’s Bankruptcy Group practicing primarily in the areas of debtor/creditor law, bankruptcy and complex commercial litigation.  Weikart is an officer and shareholder in the firm, whose main areas of practice are corporate, commercial and business planning, including acquisitions and business planning for public and closely held corporations.

Tom Fraser and Ann Ladd were reelected to serve on the Fredrikson & Byron Board and Todd Wind, Bert Greener and Bert Ranum were reelected to the Fredrikson & Byron Foundation Board of Directors.

John Koneck was named president of the firm. Koneck is a shareholder in Fredrikson & Byron’s Real Estate Development and Finance client service group, handling real estate transactions including commercial and industrial sales and acquisitions, brokerage agreements, commercial lease negotiations, tax and business planning, and construction and permanent real estate financing. He has substantial experience in bankruptcy, debtor/creditor law, and real estate-related litigation.
