Fredrikson & Byron Attorneys Appointed Honorary Legal Counsel for Minnesota Mexican Consulate

Minneapolis, MN January 11, 2006 – Fredrikson & Byron is pleased to announce that attorneys Patrick J. Kelly and Luis Reséndiz have been appointed Honorary Legal Counsel for the Mexican Consulate in St. Paul, Minn. Kelly and Reséndiz will be available to advise the Consulate on various legal issues.

“We will provide the Consulate with assistance on immigration and criminal law, as well as on matters that involve the intersection of U.S. and Mexican law,” says Kelly, who is the director of Fredrikson & Byron’s Monterrey office. Luis Reséndiz is a native of Queretero, Mexico; he practiced law for six years in Mexico before coming to the United States in the late ‘90s and graduating from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2001.
