Fredrikson & Byron Awards Minority Scholarship
Minneapolis, MN June 21, 2006 – Fredrikson & Byron announces Pratin Vallabhaneni as the recipient of the 2006 Fredrikson & Byron Foundation Minority Scholarship Program. The scholarship is awarded each year to an exceptional first-year minority law school student – 2006 marks the fifteenth year of the firm’s minority scholarship program. Pratin is currently enrolled at the University of Minnesota Law School and expects to earn his J.D. degree in May of 2008. He earned his undergraduate degrees from the University of Colorado at Denver, a B.S., summa cum laude, in Music (Industry Studies) and a B.A., magna cum laude, in Political Science, in August of 2003, as well as a M.B.A. in August of 2004. Pratin also earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Central Florida in August of 2005. In addition to winning the scholarship, Pratin has been invited to join Fredrikson & Byron as a summer associate in 2007.
The scholarship program is part of Fredrikson & Byron’s commitment to promoting diversity amongst incoming law professionals. The overall purpose of the program is to promote the legal training of minority law school students and to encourage them to join and excel in the private practice of law with major law firms.
