Fredrikson & Byron Announces New Shareholders
Minneapolis, MN September 26, 2006 – –Fredrikson & Byron has elected seven new shareholders: Jeffrey Erb (Securities and Corporate Groups), Ryan Johnson (Health Law, Corporate, and Advertising, Media, and Entertainment Groups), Richard Kyle (White Collar & Regulatory Defense, Health Care Fraud & Compliance, and Litigation Groups), Ruilin Li (Corporate, Securities, and International Groups), Luis Resendiz (Corporate, International, and Franchise Groups), Cameron Seybolt (Trusts & Estates Group), and Jessica Sherman Manivasager (Business & Tax Planning and Technology & E–Commerce Groups).
Jeffrey Erb – Jeff’s practice involves assisting clients in a wide range of securities, corporate, and financial service areas including all aspects of public and private offerings of securities; merger, acquisition and divestiture activities; state corporation law matters; negotiation of and ongoing counsel regarding performance of contractual relationships; federal and state investment adviser regulation; federal investment company regulation; federal and state broker regulation; and private investment fund formation and regulation.
Ryan Johnson - Ryan is a shareholder of Fredrikson & Byron and a member of the firm’s Corporate, Health Law, and Advertising, Media & Entertainment Groups. Ryan’s experience ranges from day-to-day counseling of individuals and closely-held businesses to planning and managing acquisitions for international corporations.
Richard Kyle - Richard has considerable criminal defense experience defending individuals and businesses at trial and on appeal in state and federal court. His cases have included antitrust, bank fraud, environmental crimes, health care fraud, mail and wire fraud, securities fraud and tax evasion. In addition, Richard handles other serious misdemeanor and felony cases for Fredrikson & Byron. Richard is regularly named one of the top 40 criminal defense lawyers in Minnesota by the Minnesota Journal of Law and Politics.
Ruilin Li - Ruilin is a shareholder of Fredrikson & Byron and a member of our Corporate, Securities, and International Groups. Ruilin works on a variety of business matters, including mergers and acquisitions, compliance with Securities and Exchange Commission requirements, and corporate formation and governance. Moreover, Ruilin is available to assist our clients with legal work in China.
Luis Reséndis - Luis is a shareholder and an officer in Fredrikson & Byron’s Corporate, Franchise and International Groups. His domestic practice covers a variety of business matters, including drafting supply, distribution and licensing agreements, merger and acquisition, and other general corporate matters. He has particular expertise on regulatory and contractual issues related to franchising and currently represents one of the fastest growing restaurant chains in the country.
Cameron Seybolt - Cameron is a shareholder in Fredrikson & Byron’s Trusts & Estates Group. Cameron focuses his practice exclusively on estate planning and probate. He advises clients regarding a wide variety of estate planning and probate issues, including tax planning, business succession, probate disputes, trust administration, and charitable and family gifting.
Jessica Sherman Manivasager - Jessica is a shareholder of Fredrikson & Byron and a member of its Business & Tax and E-Business Groups. Her practice focuses on assisting start-up and small business entities to protect their valuable intellectual property assets while achieving their goals through creative corporate and tax planning strategies. Jessica also concentrates on copyright protection and registration for a variety of works, including technology-based works such as on-line works and computer programs, as well as more “traditional” works, such as books, scripts, art, and musical arrangements.
