She was among a group of distinguished individuals who received the Award for their coalition effort to lead the development of the first and most comprehensive energy policy adoption in the Midwest, known as the Demand Efficiency Act. Other individuals receiving the award with Brusven were Senator D. Scott Dibble, Representative Jeremy Kalin, and Sheldon Strom from the Center for Energy and Environment. Through these experiences, Brusven has developed an excellent working knowledge of regulatory proceedings before the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission.
