Fredrikson & Byron Attorney, Christina Brusven, Honored as
2008 Up & Coming Attorney by Minnesota Lawyer
Minneapolis, MN March 18, 2008 – – Minnesota Lawyer has selected Fredrikson & Byron associate, Christy Brusven, as a 2008 Up & Coming Attorney. Attorneys who receive this award show significant records of accomplishment during the first 10 years of practice including leadership, service to the community or profession, or achievement as in-house counsel. Brusven will be recognized at a May 8 luncheon event at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis.
Brusven is a member of Fredrikson & Byron’s Energy, Renewable Energy, Government Relations, and Corporate Groups. Her practice focuses on renewable energy and wind development matters, working with clients on energy efficiency, wind, biomass, biofuels and transmission projects. She assists clients with regulatory filings and permitting, business development and financing.
Prior to joining the firm, Brusven worked in the Energy Division at the Minnesota Department of Commerce as Special Assistant to the Deputy Commissioner. Brusven was instrumental in drafting and negotiating portions of the Next Generation Energy Act of 2007, a bill signed by Governor Tim Pawlenty in May 2007.
