Ilse Akbar Joins Fredrikson & Byron
Minneapolis, MN December 15, 2011 – – Ilse Akbar has joined Fredrikson & Byron as an associate in the Tax Planning & Business Organization Group. She counsels clients in a variety of corporate matters and on a wide range of tax issues arising in all stages of business planning.
Prior to joining Fredrikson & Byron, Akbar worked as a tax associate for a law firm in Chicago where she practiced corporate tax law with an emphasis on corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, financial instruments, and international tax issues. Before law school, Akbar worked as a teacher at the Tilden Career Community Academy in Chicago through Teach For America. She continues to stay involved in eliminating disparities in public education through volunteer work.
