Minneapolis, MN January 3, 2012 – – Heather Campbell has joined Fredrikson & Byron as an officer in the Health Care and Corporate Groups. She will practice primarily out of the firm’s Des Moines, Iowa office. Campbell’s practice focuses on providing comprehensive transaction advice to clients in the health care fields, with issues relating to regulatory compliance, complex transactions involving physician-hospital relationships, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and negotiating of contracts with health care payors.
Prior to joining Fredrikson, Campbell was the assistant general counsel for Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, providing advice and support for regulatory compliance, contracting, and appeal processes. Her addition to the office also provides a solid next step in growing our presence in Iowa and the Midwest, where we expect to take further advantage of opportunities in the areas of mergers & acquisitions, energy, financial services, health care, and complex commercial litigation.”
“Having worked closely with Heather in the past, I am enthused about partnering with her again on a variety of transactions. She also brings deep connections to our firm as a health care industry insider, which will certainly benefit our clients in Iowa and across the U.S.,” said Steve Dickinson, Fredrikson & Byron shareholder and head of the firm’s Iowa office.
