This item is a flash drive containing presentation materials from this conference held on August 18, 2009. The conference covered an overview of the industry, commercialization, market opportunities (i.e., aviation, transportation fuels, products and feed), funding opportunities, and sustainability. Speakers and attendees discussed the commercial viability of algae production in the Midwest, current government and private initiatives, evolving technologies, processing concepts, life cycle analysis, and venture and project finance trends. There were opportunities to learn about unique intellectual property issues related to algae production, applications, and commercialization.
The full-day conference included an exceptional panel of speakers, including a keynote presentation by Tim Zenk, VP of Corporate Affairs for Sapphire Energy. The workshop also included a poster session featuring the latest breakthroughs in algae research.
We wish to thank the efforts of our Supporting Organizations: Byrne & Company and the Initiative for Renewable Energy and the Environment (IREE).
