CMS recently issued its long-awaited proposed regulations regarding Accountable Care Organizations (“ACOs”). The proposed rules include key topics such as requirements for ACO governance structure, quality performance standards, quality measure reporting and shared savings distributions and loss repayments. We will also discuss how CMS will address issues of antitrust, self-referral, and fraud and abuse with regard to ACOs. This webinar will identify what aspects of ACOs hospitals and clinics need to focus their attention on now and how to prepare for the implementation of ACOs when the rules are final.
