Staff Attorney – Corporate – Position available for an attorney interested in parlaying strong organizational, project management and technological skills, as well as experience in M&A transactions, into an exciting new staff attorney role within the firm. This role involves project management and process-improvement initiatives, developing expertise in, and driving adoption of, M&A technology tools, and developing and maintaining department forms, checklists and other knowledge-management. The position also involves client work (performing and managing due diligence, research, drafting commercial contracts and schedules). Fargo Associate – Our Fargo, ND office seeks to add an associate with 1-3 years of experience in private practice assisting clients with general corporate and transactional work including mergers and acquisitions, commercial law, and real estate, as well as tax law. Excellent interpersonal, analytical and writing skills along with strong academic/professional credentials are essential. While preference will be given to currently practicing attorneys, we are also open to considering 2019 graduates to start in fall 2019.

Des Moines Patent Associate – Our Des Moines, IA office has an immediate opening for a partnership-track associate with 1-4 years of experience to join our Patent Group. This Group focuses on patent preparation and prosecution, non-infringement and invalidity investigations, and other USPTO proceedings. Qualified candidates must have distinguished academic credentials and exceptional legal analysis and writing abilities. An engineering background with demonstrated experience dealing with electrical, mechanical, or software technologies is strongly preferred. Candidates should be registered to practice with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.
