Overview
There are many situations where a physician or other medical professional bill for service performed under their supervision. This session will explain when Medicare allows a physician or non-physician practitioner to bill for services performed “incident to” their work in the clinic and what is required to bill split/shared visits in a facility like a hospital or skilled nursing facility. It will also cover the teaching physician rules. (It turns out that a teaching physician is NOT billing for supervising a service!!) Finally, we will discuss what personal, direct and general supervision mean for diagnostic tests and other services.
An on-demand recording of the program will be available after the live webcast. Past webcasts can be viewed for free on our Health Law Webinars page.
