MIMA’s Website Accessibility Workshop
Wednesday, September 26, 2018
8:30-11:00 am

Fredrikson & Byron is delighted to host a practical workshop on creating accessible and ADA-compliant websites and apps.

The workshop is produced by MIMA, the Minnesota Interactive Marketing Association, and will give participants practical tips and best practices for improving accessibility for disabled users of their websites and apps.

Most websites are not accessible to disabled users, including the visually impaired, and those companies are missing out on millions of potential customers, including a growing group of seniors. Further, non-accessible websites and apps are at substantial risk of being named in class-action lawsuits under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other anti-discrimination laws.

This interactive and hands-on workshop will be led by Steve Helland (Fredrikson & Byron), Michele Landis (Accessible360) and Amber James (Clockwork).

The workshop is aimed at IT developers, owners of agencies and technology start-ups, and legal and compliance personnel.
