Fredrikson & Byron Foundation Awards 2017 Minority Scholarship
Fredrikson & Byron announces Khansaa Nadeem is the recipient of the 2017 Fredrikson & Byron Foundation Minority Scholarship. This is the 25th year of the firm’s minority scholarship program, which is typically awarded each year to an exceptional first-year minority law school student. The Fredrikson Foundation awarded Nadeem a $15,000 scholarship. Nadeem is currently enrolled in the University of Minnesota Law School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She expects to earn her J.D. in May 2019, and earned a B.A. in Elementary Education in December 2010.
“This is the 25th year we have offered this scholarship,” said Dulce Foster, president of Fredrikson’s charitable foundation. “We are proud of our long-standing commitment to support laws students and their developing careers.”
The scholarship program is part of the Fredrikson & Byron Foundation’s commitment to promoting diversity amongst incoming law professionals. The purpose of the program is to encourage them to join and excel in the private practice of law within larger corporate law firms in the Upper Midwest. The scholarships are awarded based on law school performance, professional references, work and other activities, writing samples and personal interviews.
