Malissa Eng, Fredrikson & Byron AttorneyIntellectual property attorney Malissa C. Eng has joined Fredrikson & Byron as an associate in the Intellectual PropertyPatents and IP Due Diligence Groups.

Eng’s practice focuses on identifying, procuring and enforcing the intellectual property rights of clients. Her experience includes drafting and prosecuting patent applications, counseling clients on intellectual property matters, performing due diligence on patent assets, managing global patent portfolios, handling appeals before the Patent Trial & Appeal Board (PTAB) and evaluating freedom-to-operate, invalidity and infringement positions.

Prior to joining Fredrikson, Eng practiced as a patent attorney at a boutique law firm in Connecticut. Additionally, during law school, she was a judicial intern for the Honorable Andrea Masley in the Bronx Family Court and a research assistant to Fordham Law Professor Tanya Hernández. She is licensed to practice in New York.
