Fredrikson & Byron Hires New Associates
Fredrikson & Byron announces the addition of five associates to the firm. Four associates are based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and one new associate is based in the firm’s Fargo, North Dakota office.
Alexander D. Chiquoine is a Minneapolis associate in the Litigation and White Collar & Regulatory Defense Groups. Chiquoine represents clients in a variety of civil and criminal matters. He has experience advocating for businesses and individuals in both state and federal court. Prior to joining Fredrikson & Byron, Chiquoine served as a law clerk to the Honorable Susan Richard Nelson of the District of Minnesota. Additionally, he worked on a presidential campaign and later served in the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., before attending law school.
Brandt M. Doerr is a Fargo associate in the Litigation Group. Doerr handles a wide variety of commercial litigation matters, business disputes and employment matters. Prior to joining Fredrikson, Doerr served as a judicial law clerk for the North Dakota Supreme Court. He received his law degree from the University of North Dakota School of Law.
Barbara Marchevsky is a Minneapolis associate in the Intellectual Property Litigation Group. She draws on her experience as a judicial clerk to assist clients in navigating a range of intellectual property law matters. Prior to joining Fredrikson & Byron, Marchevsky worked as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Chief Justice Lorie S. Gildea of the Minnesota Supreme Court and as a judicial extern to the Honorable Patrick J. Schiltz in the United States District of Minnesota.
John P. Pavelko is a Minneapolis associate in the Litigation Group. Pavelko navigates clients through complex litigation matters in both federal and state court. Before joining Fredrikson & Byron, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Paul A. Magnuson of the United States District Court Judge for the District of Minnesota.
John I. Pray III is a Minneapolis associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity and Securities Groups. Pray represents private equity funds and public and private companies in mergers, acquisitions and other strategic transactions in a wide range of industries, including energy, medical devices, life sciences and manufacturing. Prior to joining Fredrikson & Byron, Pray worked as an associate for AMLAW 200 firms in Texas and Arizona. He is licensed to practice in Texas and Arizona; Minnesota license is pending.
