FAR; Federal Acquisition RequirementU.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services issued a reminder that as of January 5, 2018, federal contractors and subcontractors with an E-Verify Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirement must enroll in and use E-Verify. New federal contractors and subcontractors with a FAR requirement must provide their Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) during the E-Verify enrollment process. The DUNS Number is a unique, nine-digit identification number assigned by Dun and Bradstreet to the organizations maintained in its database. Existing E-Verify employers designated as federal contractors with a FAR requirement do not have to provide their DUNS number but will be prompted to enter it in E-Verify when they update their company profile.
