Edgar’s practice focuses on defending employers in employment-related litigation and advising clients on a variety of day-to-day employment disputes.
Edgar advises and defends clients on employment and labor matters, with an emphasis in the area of workers’ compensation and related civil litigation. He works with employers of all sizes to resolve their day-to-day and most pressing employee issues.
Prior to joining Fredrikson & Byron, Edgar managed and consulted in the hospitality industry for 15 years where he negotiated and executed contracts, managed teams of up to 250 employees, coordinated multi-million dollar high profile national events and prudently navigated the employment landscape through a full range of employment issues. Additionally, Edgar served in the United States Marine Corps as a Military Policeman and DoD Anti-Terrorism Instructor in support of Operation Swift Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
Edgar leverages his managing and consulting background when working with employers to develop policies necessary to help employers manage risk and ensure that employers stay on top of the rapidly changing employment laws.
