Jeri represents business owners, developers, private equity groups and investors on all facets of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, financing, leases and development. In particular, she represents clients in transactions that involve complex real estate holdings and development of property for commercial, industrial and residential purposes. Jeri has also created new residential, commercial and mixed-use Common Interest Communities, including condominiums and planned communities.
Jeri facilitates multiple details for buyers and sellers of commercial real estate, such as due diligence, title and survey review, curing title defects and in dealing with technical title matters, financing and refinancing, contract review, drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, leases and ancillary contracts, preparation of easements and handling all facets of closing proceedings and post-closing obligations.
Jeri is certified by the Minnesota State Bar Association as a Real Property Law Specialist, a title held by fewer than 3% of attorneys in Minnesota. As former in-house counsel for a large online financial services and technology company, Jeri facilitated merger and acquisition activity in the hundreds of millions of dollars. Consequently, she understands the importance of timing and planning for roadblocks and risk from the business side, laying out a clear path to help clients reach their desired outcome.
