On June 4, the Family Business Advisors Group hosted its final meeting of the 2019-2020 season, where we shared skills and experiences serving family businesses.
Successful management and leadership transitions in family business are complicated and have many pitfalls that can derail the process. One of the major pitfalls in dealing with leadership transitions is seeing it as an isolated event from other parts of the leadership team and family.
In this year’s series, we have developed three sessions on understanding a systems approach to leadership transitions. The last of the three sessions features Joe King, owner of King Technology and Randy Roseth, President of King Technology discussing the plan for succession with Joe’s two sons in the midst of the Pandemic. What was the original plan? How has it changed? What has been the impact of this crisis on the company, the succession plan and Joe and his plans for his legacy
