Overview

Attorney Leakhena Au is an associate in the Energy & Natural Resources, Energy Regulation & Permitting and Environmental Law groups. Prior to joining Fredrikson, Leakhena spent two years as a litigator and one year as a judicial law clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.

Leakhena uses her wide range of experience in all aspects of state and federal civil law to assist clients with environmental and regulatory compliance. She has a background in civil litigation and government administration. She has regulatory and natural resource planning experience with the U.S. Forest Service and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, particularly involving National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Endangered Species Act, National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) and Clean Water Act reviews. Leakhena also has experience with compliance counseling and due diligence reviews. She has assisted a variety of clients with environmental review, regulatory, and permitting matters in the Midwest, particularly in the transmission, utility, and renewable energy sectors.
