Overview
Attorneys from Fredrikson’s Immigration Enforcement Service Team will discuss recent ICE and other government enforcement activities and examine their impact on employers, employees and communities across the United States. Drawing on firsthand experience responding to enforcement actions, the team will share practical lessons learned, common risk areas and proactive steps employers can take to prepare for and respond to government investigations, audits and workplace enforcement activity.
Topics include:
- Recent ICE and government enforcement trends, including the types of workplace enforcement activities employers may encounter
- Preparing for I-9 audits, inspections, and potential penalties
- Response planning for employers and employees before, during, and after a workplace enforcement action
- Legal status documentation and travel advisories for non-U.S. citizens
Continuing Education
We have applied for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit for this program in Minnesota and Iowa. We have also applied for HRCI HR (General) credits and Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for the SHRM-CPSM or SHRM-SCPSM.
