Employment & Labor attorney Karen G. Schanfield has been given the 2022 Leonard Lindquist Distinguished Practice Award by the Minnesota State Bar Association Labor & Employment Law Section. Schanfield is recognized for her outstanding contribution to labor and employment law practice in Minnesota, including contributions to the legal community, the community at large, commitment to maintaining the highest standards of civility, morality, honesty and ethics, and a demonstrated commitment to improving the practice of labor and/or employment law in Minnesota. Schanfield will receive the award at the Labor & Employment Law Section Annual Dinner on June 15, 2022.

Schanfield advises and represents employers on a broad range of workplace matters. Her expertise includes leaves of absence, wage and hour issues, harassment, discrimination, disability and religious accommodation, retaliation, non-compete agreements, executive agreements and compensation, whistleblower claims, down-sizing and union matters. Her clients include publicly traded companies, non-profit organizations, government entities and executives. Schanfield serves as national labor and employment counsel for companies with operations in several states.
