Philip Bubb, Fredrikson & Byron Attorney

Attorney Philip S. Bubb was elected to the governing body of the Historic East Village, Inc. in Des Moines, Iowa on June 15, 2015. The Board is a combination of a neighborhood association and a chamber of commerce for the East Village neighborhood. Its mission is “to lead the preservation, support and development of the East Village community.” It partners with the Des Moines City Council and Downtown Des Moines Chamber of Commerce to attract businesses to the East Village, directs the neighborhood’s development, and promotes businesses located within its boundaries. Members serve for a term of three years.

Bubb is an experienced commercial litigator serving clients in diverse industries, including construction and real estate. He regularly handles disputes involving contracts, business torts, insurance liability, and negligence. Bubb represents general contractors and subcontractors in mediation, arbitration and litigation, and represents construction-products manufacturers against claims of strict liability, warranty, and negligence. He has served as lead and second-chair counsel in both state and federal courts and has obtained verdicts for clients following bench trials and jury trials.
