Attorney Monica Delgado has joined Fredrikson in its Employment, Labor & Benefits and Litigation groups in the Minneapolis office. Delgado investigates, litigates and counsels clients on employment and labor matters.

Having focused on public health in her education before becoming an attorney, she is a firm believer in upstream prevention. She is a skilled employment investigator, and she enjoys working with and advising clients to identify and mitigate potential future disputes. When disputes do arise, Delgado blends strong attention to detail with a commitment to broadly understanding each client’s unique needs to assist them at every stage of litigation before federal and state courts, administrative agencies and other regulatory organizations. Her practice touches employment issues involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, accommodation, leave, wage and hour, competition, and collective bargaining.

Although she is focused primarily on employment matters, Delgado also has successfully advocated for clients in labor-arbitration, commercial-litigation and products-liability cases.

Delgado's active pro bono practice centers on supporting students attending high school while pregnant or with young children. While in law school, Delgado earned top pro bono distinction for her medical-legal partnership work with patients at federally qualified health centers, as well as for her immigration work with women and children detained at the U.S.-Mexico border.
