Fredrikson attorney Katherine A. Nixon is a recipient of the American Bar Association (ABA) Business Bankruptcy Committee’s 2025 Class II 20/20 Partners Rising Leader Award. The 20/20 Partners Rising Leader Award recognizes young bankruptcy attorneys for their leadership skills, professional and social accomplishments, high-quality bankruptcy work, and contributions to the legal profession and their communities.
Nixon focuses her practice on bankruptcy and restructuring, with a primary emphasis on representing commercial debtors in Chapter 11 or Chapter 7 bankruptcy proceedings. She guides her clients through all facets of a proceeding, from the time of filing the petition to the time of plan confirmation and beyond, with an eye toward preserving value and achieving strategic outcomes. Nixon played a key role in drafting and revising the local rules for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Minnesota and frequently writes and presents on local and federal rules and procedures.
The ABA Business Bankruptcy Committee will formally recognize recipients of the 20/20 Partners Rising Leader Award during its Spring Meeting in April 2026.
