We are pleased to introduce you to "Our Champions," a series revealing the people and stories behind Fredrikson’s support of the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games. Each edition spotlights a team member or group making an impact—showcasing their reasons for serving our community and applauding their efforts in Special Olympics’ Inclusion Revolution.
Meet Kellie Lowman, director of finance at Fredrikson.
For Kellie, the Special Olympics USA Games is more than just a competition. Knowing someone who has competed, she witnessed the commitment and joy the athletes bring to the Games, and that energy has stayed with her ever since. “It’s such a special event,” Kellie said. “The athletes train hard, and the support from the crowd makes it all the more meaningful.”
Through her simple invitation, Kellie also inspired several members of her department to sign up for a shift together. When the firm announced an effort to bring employees together to volunteer, Kellie saw it as a meaningful team‑building opportunity, something they already do a few times each year. After attending a firm rally and interview with an athlete, everyone recognized the great opportunity to come together and give back to the community.
Kellie and her team will pack Opening Ceremony swag bags for the athletes. She is also helping to spread the word about the USA Games, encouraging friends and organizations in her life to respond to the call for champions, because she knows how important it is to celebrate achievement and show up for people.
