Matti B. Mortimore

Matti is a corporate attorney who advises companies, owners and investors throughout the life cycle of mergers and acquisitions and other strategic transactions.

Matti represents individuals and businesses in buying and selling companies, guiding them through each stage of a transaction, from early planning and deal structuring through negotiation, due diligence and closing. He also advises sponsors and investment managers on forming private investment funds, with experience spanning multifamily and affordable housing, senior living, and commercial and industrial real estate, and offerings ranging from single-project vehicles to multi-asset funds raising tens of millions of dollars.

In addition to his M&A and fund work, Matti serves as a trusted advisor to businesses on general corporate, governance and commercial contracting matters across a wide array of industries. He has particular experience in the construction industry, representing owners, contractors and subcontractors in negotiating construction contracts on both private and government-funded projects.

Before practicing law, Matti taught business ethics and moral philosophy at Tulane University, experience that informs his clear, practical approach to complex business questions.
