Overview

Teri brings nearly two decades of experience in tax litigation and advisory work to Fredrikson’s Tax Disputes & Litigation Group.

Teri uses her experience to advise clients on practical solutions to resolve federal tax disputes and controversies, including audits, administrative appeals and litigation. She represents clients in various industries on a wide range of federal tax matters.

Before joining the firm, Teri served as Deputy Area Counsel for the IRS Office of Chief Counsel, where Teri oversaw multiple offices and managed complex litigation strategies. Teri has tried numerous cases before the U.S. Tax Court, including syndicated conservation easement matters and high-stakes corporate tax disputes. Known for technical expertise in accounting methods and timing issues, Teri advised on novel tax positions with nationwide impact and provided numerous training sessions to IRS agents and attorneys. Teri also taught Federal Income Tax as an adjunct professor at the University of St. Thomas School of Law. Teri is licensed to practice in Louisiana and U.S. Tax Court, her Minnesota license is pending.
