Overview

Knowing what you may or may not, should or should not, share with the government can be daunting. You may get in trouble for sharing some information, but you can also regret your refusal to release data.

This webinar explored your rights and obligations when interacting with a variety of governmental and private organizations, including what you should do if government agents visit your facility. It also discussed dilemmas like a patient with a fake insurance card or a patient who discloses illegal activity during a visit. Finally, it described how your refusal to provide some information may cause significant penalties.

Accreditation

Live webinar participants will receive an email upon program approval for Minnesota and Iowa Continuing Legal Education (CLE) and Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) credits through the Compliance Certification Board (CCB)® (typically three or four weeks following the webinar). Please contact Greta Larson at glarson@fredlaw.com if you are an attorney licensed in another state and would like information about obtaining CLE accreditation.
