Ryan Johnson and Briar Andresen talked about the new final rule on interoperability, how it empowers patients and what it will require of health care providers. They discussed HIPAA’s interaction with interoperability, how EHRs will be affected and what obligations providers will have to patients, payers and others that will want access to health information.
